Trimix Injections and Forskolin

May 2nd, 2012

Note from TriMixInjection.com - Over the past few months we have multiple requests from both physicians and patients to post information about Forskolin, a drug that has been studied as an additive to TriMix. The information below is in response to these requests. Please note that this is for informational purposes only and any additive to your trimix injection prescription should be first discussed with your physician. If you have additional questions regarding this therapy please feel free to forward them to info@trimixinjection.com. This ingredient is available and we would be happy to forward you to a compounding pharmacy that can provide you with compounded forskolin.

Forskolin is an adenylate cyclase activator that directly stimulates the enzymes responsible for starting and maintaining erections.  Adenylate cyclase activators trigger an increase in cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) which causes smooth muscle relaxation in the penis.  This pharmacologic action enhances penile veno-occlusion and increases the quality of an induced erection. Forskolin is naturally derived and can be added to a Tri-Mix preparation to synergistically increase the effects of the medications.  This synergistic interaction means greater success rates and longer erection times for the men that add forskolin to their current regimen.  A study called, “Intracavernosal Forskolin:  Role in Management of Vasculogenic Impotenence Resistant to Standard 3-Agent Pharmacotherapy” shows that the added effects don’t come with added side effects and you take the medications the same way you always have. The only thing that’s different is the effects you’ll see and there are studies that prove it.  So don’t forget to ask your physician or pharmacist about adding forskolin to your current Tri-Mix Injection regimen.

Is forskolin safe?
A study has shown that the side effects of the 3-medication preparation with forskolin added in have similar side effects to the regular 3-medication regimen.  (Intracavernosal Forskolin:  Role in Management of Vasculogenic Impotenence Resistant to Standard 3-Agent, Pharmacotherapy)

Will I have to change how I deliver my medication?
No!  Forskolin can be added into your regimen and you can take your medication the same way you always have.
